Health Benefits of Sleeping on an Adjustable Mattress
Adjustable Beds can actually make you healthier. The medical benefits are not just for hospitals anymore, and adding a memory foam mattress can make your sleep experience that much better. A flat bed causes your body to shift into cramped positions and cause improper posture as you sleep. People with back or joint problems are made worse by sleeping on a flat bed. Sleeping on your side causes problems with breathing and circulation. Adjustable beds allow you to sleep on your back and by inclining your upper body and lower body into a more comfortable position. Alleviate Back Pain
Patients with back pain are advised to use adjustable beds. A flat bed may not provide the proper support for the spinal cord, resulting in excess back pain and restless sleep. Inclining the bed at 45 degrees provides relief for the lower back. By raising the foot of the bed relieves even more pressure on the spine, which raises the legs and bends the knees. Patients having low back surgery feel an adjustable bed is far more comfortable than a flat bed. Adjusting the bed up or down redistributes the pressure across your body, which can help alleviate lower back pain. Additionally, you can actually stretch your back from bed, by positioning it upright and slowly lowering it down.

- Sidewalls do not provide much support when sitting on the bed
- there is a noticeable difference on softness between her side of the bed and mine (after only a couple of months). Not sure what is causing this, but suspect split boxspring could be cause.

I have been debating about buying a new mattress for at least a year. I finally went into a showroom and decided to give it a try. The pro adapt hybrid felt the best to me. After a few days and knowing they offered a return option I figured it was worth a try. My hip pain is better and this mattress doesn't sag in the middle, where i sleep, even through there is plenty of space. Absolutely love it. Very comfortable and surprisingly no adjustment time necessary to a firmer mattress than i am used to. Well done Tempur-pedic!!

I didn't think I would like this at first. But after the first night, when I was able to get up in the morning with out pain in my back. It is a keeper.
It doesn't shake the whole bed when I turn over. It is set at a just the right height so I don't need a stool to get into bed.
My only problem is making the bed. The mattress is so heavy. I can barely move it.

We have owned this mattress for 6 years and it's always been uncomfortable but has gotten worse. We inquired it is no longer under warranty or we would have returned it. Dave your money and buy a different brand! Temperpedic used to be amazing our old mattress is in our guest room but the new versions are horrible.
We have been traveling for the last few months, slept on single, double and queen beds was excited to get home to our king but within 2 nights we are waking up tired, sore and unrested.

In 2009, immediately after having back fusion surgery we purchased our first tempur-pedic rhapsody firm. It was extremely comfortable and made my recovery much easier. In Nov 2025 I had my 3rd back fusion. We purchased a new tempur-pedic pro-adapt firm that was delivered the day before coming home from the hospital. The quality of their product is noticeably lacking. This mattress is breaking down less than 1 year after purchasing. The surface of the mattress is very slippery so the sheets do not stay in place. We still have the first tempur-pedic at our second home. I look forward to sleeping on the rhapsody whenever we stay there. The new pro-adapt just does not compare at all. Absolutely will not purchase another tempur-pedic mattress. Very disappointing experience!

The mattress is comfortable, supportive, non-disruptive, good thickness (so many mattresses are too thick for sheets to fit properly), and provides a great night sleep for both my husband and myself from the first night we slept on it. We had purchased a different mattress and tried it for 90 days. It was everything the tempedic pro adapt medium hybrid mattress is not (it was like sleeping on an air mattress with deep divots in it). We are thankful for the sleep guarantee at our local bedding store, and the expert mattress fitting we received when we went in for the replacement mattress. The only problem is we don't want to get out of bed in the morning!

This is my 3rd Tempur-Pedic mattress since 2006. I love the updates of this ProAdapt Medium Hybrid mattress since it has both foam and coils which gives you better support, particularly on the sides of the bed. It has taken me a bit to adjust to, however after about 2 months I am getting more used to the bed. I've given it a 4 Star bc of this. I'm sure that in another month or so, I will write another review with 5 Stars! The Tempur-Pedi Flagship store in Brownwood Square (in The Villages, FL ) Casey, Jeff and rest of her team, I give a 5 Star plus. I did have issues with the Ergo Pro King base, but that was resolved fairly quickly. The only thing that could be better is if the Remote would light up once you pick it up. :)

I have back and leg pain. My body hurt for about 2 weeks after switching mattresses. Once it adapted, I felt much needed joint relief. The bed is incredibly supportive, yet gentle on my very sensitive nerves. My husband's sleep scores improved from the poor 60's into the excellent 90s since getting this mattress.

I wish I had purchased this mattress instead of the other brands for all the past years. I'm in my 60's and finally found my favorite. Better late than never! My sleep is restful and without aches. Get this mattress!

I have had the mattress for five years plus about four months ago. I gained a hole in the mattress where the foam separated and now I can touch the springs. Also, it has indentations in it. I'm not a small man, but I'm not huge. Either I weigh up 225 pounds and I'm almost 6 feet. The foam has gotten really soft and it's no longer a medium as it is a soft bed when the bed starts to break down it breaks down quickly. Was it a good mattress if you ask me I'll say yes but it's not a long-term mattress. If you ask me if I buy it again answer is no there are a lot better mattresses out there.

My experience with the mattress so far has been okay. It is comfortable, but nothing special; especially for the price. This mattress should be cheaper for the amount of comfort that it offers. I feel for the price there are better options out there. I would not buy again or recommend unless one can buy it for much cheaper.

I have had low back problemsfor years and a previous back surgery. Choosing a mattress has always been a big deal. I experienced this same mattress for the first time sleeping in an AirBNB while on vacation and knew I had to have one. I woke up in minimal pain and slept soundly throughout the night. As soon as I got home, I purchased one. It was the best decision I made. Not only have I slept well with minimal back pain, I also do not wake up to my bed partner moving around. I have recommended this bed to all my friends and family looking to upgrade mattresses and will continue to do so.

We bought a purple mattress 6 years ago. It was nice at first. It wasn't long before the fancy material just wasn't supportive enough for almost 400lbs of people. My wife and I decided to go for a tempur-pedic from a family members recommendation and it has been completely life changing! There is enough support for both of our bodies and more than enough room in the king size. Wife wasn't completely convinced that the brand name was worth it. In fact, she loves it more than I do. I have noticed her sleeping more deeply and with less tossing and turning. Personally, I'm a mechanic and suffer from chronic back pain due to my job. This mattress finally allows me to relax and doesn't further exacerbate my chronic pain. I think the pain has improved and that makes this a 10/10.

I had an older model Tempurpedic mattress for about ten years. The new hybrid model is more comfortable (softer, but with good support) and the mattress doesn't feel cold (I didn't get a cooling mattress because I don't need that feature). The adjustable base allowed me to stop using a wedge for reflux, and I'm able to adjust it to whatever angle I choose. So much more comfortable and usable.

I purchased this mattress on sale so I was not able to return it. I did try it out in the store before I purchased it. The mattress I received is not the same mattress. I tried in the store. This mattress is hard as a rock. We're waking up and back pains nobody's sleeping on it. We're on the couch. And I'm not allowed to return it or exchange it so I'm out over $3000 and this piece of crap.

This product is the worst mattress we've ever purchased. The sagging is so bad it's painful to sleep on. If you sit on the side of the bed it's like sliding down a sliding board. . Warranty department is even worse. You are taken through a lot of changes taking photos (meaning each time it wasn't the photos they wanted, you has to strip bed AGAIN). Then finally if you are approved they charge 1 fee to deliver, 1 fee to bring in your home(because of God's grace and mercy we don't have to sleep outside), and then demand old mattress back. Should we charge them to come in our home to get it. If you can come in to get one ,you can bring one. NEVER buy this product.

Our mattress is sagging on the edges and bunched in the middle. We are currently going thru the warranty process and are very displeased with the process. I am an 80 yr.old veteran with limited capabilities, and lifting this mattress all the time is hard on me. I have sent three rounds of pictures that they asked for, and it is still not enough, So today I received another e-mail requesting more pictures. I am not at all pleased!

I'm just not happy with this mattress. I've tried numerous variations with the controller and it's just not the comfort level I expected especially for almost $6,000 dollars for mattress and platform.
I'm going to give it a little more time but I think this one will have to go back. Very disappointed.
