Health Benefits of Sleeping on an Adjustable Mattress
Adjustable Beds can actually make you healthier. The medical benefits are not just for hospitals anymore, and adding a memory foam mattress can make your sleep experience that much better. A flat bed causes your body to shift into cramped positions and cause improper posture as you sleep. People with back or joint problems are made worse by sleeping on a flat bed. Sleeping on your side causes problems with breathing and circulation. Adjustable beds allow you to sleep on your back and by inclining your upper body and lower body into a more comfortable position. Many of us find it enjoyable to rest on a recliner and there are reasons why it becomes a place to relax. Today people read in bed, work on their laptops and watch TV in bed. On a flat bed you must arrange many pillows to make yourself comfortable. The pillows move out of position and you end up with a back or neck ache.

Alleviate Back Pain
Patients with back pain are advised to use adjustable beds. A flat bed may not provide the proper support for the spinal cord, resulting in excess back pain and restless sleep. Inclining the bed at 45 degrees provides relief for the lower back. By raising the foot of the bed relieves even more pressure on the spine, which raises the legs and bends the knees. Patients having low back surgery feel an adjustable bed is far more comfortable than a flat bed. Adjusting the bed up or down redistributes the pressure across your body, which can help alleviate lower back pain. Additionally, you can actually stretch your back from bed, by positioning it upright and slowly lowering it down.
Relief from Acid Reflex and Heartburn
Patients suffering from acidity benefit from having their upper body elevated 6 to 8 inches. This helps the stomach to retain the acids. On a flat bed, acid moves to the esophagus leading to episodes of acid reflex or heartburn. Elevating the head while sleeping helps the stomach retain acids that might otherwise travel up the esophagus and cause heartburn.

The mattress is comfortable and supportive, but it is advertised as felling 5 deg cooler which I do not notice. The price difference between mine and the next lower was 1000k. Not sure it was worth it. Maybe it is because it is a hybrid and my last one was an inner spring mattress. Either way I was hoping the cooling aspect would have been more noticeable.

The mattress in still in a breaking in period. Not feeling relief yet but hoping after the break in period it gets better. I was expecting the mattress to give more contour support at this stage. I spent a very long time with the salesperson before choosing a mattress. I explained my chronic illnesses and he convinced me that this mattress would really help me with pain and sleeping too warm. My husband and I decided to make the purchase, which was very expensive but we had hope that our sleep would greatly improve.
Unfortunately once we started sleeping on it I had a severe reaction to the chemicals it's made of. I ended up in the ER 4 times with irregular heartbeat, shortness of breath, dizziness ,near fainting, weakness. I didn't suspect that it was due to the mattress at first. Then as time went by and the mattress had off gassed the toxins more and more my symptoms slowly started to get better. (I have a condition called MCAS which can cause an over activity of my mass cells which is believed to be the reason why I reacted so severely to this mattress.) I'm not saying that it would affect everyone this way but there should be some type of warning for people who have illnesses or sensitivities besides "allow mattress to off gas for a few days " which we did just isn't enough. It took 4 months before I was back to myself again. Unfortunately too late to return it now and go with something clean and free of chemicals. I do not sleep "in my bed" I keep it made and sleep on top of all the coverings because I'm afraid to have a relapse of what I went through. I am currently searching for a mattress cover to encase it, so much for that breeze.
I also cannot strip the bed to wash the bedding, when I do I get a flare up of symptoms so my husband has to do it and he opens the windows and keeps the door closed until it's recovered and the room airs out.
We will be paying for it for a long time so we cannot purchase a different mattress that's a safer alternative for me. I'm heartbroken about this.

Mattress is comfortable. My husband appreciates the firmness, but I'm still getting used to it. We upgraded to the Probreeze for the enhanced cooling effect. Not worth the extra money. The cooling effect is lost as soon as the mattress cover and sheets go on.

Our Tempur-Pedicure ProBreeze mattress fits our every needs so far! It took a bit to break in but the cooling technology helped my wife and my body at a cool level when sleeping. The firmness level of this mattress is not too firm and not too soft. Just perfect for a couple who had trouble sleeping on our old mattress and can now sleep soundly without waking up hot or with pain in our backs.

I have very bad hips and have to sleep in a recliner since I cannot sleep on my side in bed. I also miss being able to sleep with my husband and now I can. This mattress takes away the pressure points when laying on my side. So far I have even been to sleep comfortably and even on my back. We have an adjustable frame and this really does help a great deal.

It took about a month to break in. I will say my first immediate downfall was the base adjuster. I didn't realize that I could't return it or replace it. I just went for the cheapest choice bc I coulnd't figure out why I would need all the other necessities. But that doesn't make me love my new bed any less. I suffer from fibromyalgia and this bed has helped me feel new and relaxed everyday. After a while I did start to feel that bc I have a temper pedic mattress, the only sheets and matress protector had to be tempur pedic as well. Overall felt it was more of an investment than I knew I was making...but I'm not angry about it.

We recently bought a Tempur ProBreeze medium hybrid king. It's our second purchase from MattFirm. We bought a Beautyrest Beyond from MattFirm about 6 years ago. We bought from MattFirm again because Reyhan, the manager of the store in Southpark, Charlotte, was such so excellent in advising us.
We loved the Beautyrest when we first bought it. After about 5 years, I started having back pain. I'm pretty sure it was from the mattress because we travelled for just over 2 months and the pain went away.
In the meantime, we bought a Sleep Number for our guest bedroom. Some of our guests love it because they can adjust the firmness to suit their needs. We slept on it for one night and my wife hated it.
We have found the Tempur Hybrid to be very comfortable. I'm also really enjoying tracking my sleep data via the Ergo SMART base. My wife did NOT turn on her tracker.
We used to always sleep on queen-sized mattresses, but we graduated to a king now and we both love it.

Wife always had problems with sore hips and constantly flipping from side to side. Not any more. A bit pricey, but sometimes you get what you pay for. We would buy it again!

This mattress has be a god-send for both my husband and myself! Both have lower back issues and this is the first mattress where we both sleep through the night and don't wake up stiff and sore. The cooling effect is really nice if you sleep hot. We've had to put light weight throws on the bed as we sometimes get too cold. Wish I had bought one earlier.

We had a TEMPUR-pedic for 13 years before buying this new mattress. We were on the fence about whether we should stick with TEMPUR-pedic (which we had loved) or go with one of the newer companies that have popped up in the last decade. In the month plus since getting our new mattress I've had the best sleep of my life. Glad we stayed with what we loved. The firmness and bounce are just right and, as a side sleeper, find the support perfect.

Choosing this mattress almost sent me to the loony bin. Started with the Proadapt Medium. After the three month return period I still could not get used to the sinking-into-the-bed feeling, and also found because of the density of the foam it slept too hot. The Proadapt Medium Hybrid, however, felt too soft to me. And the edge support (an issue with these foam mattresses) was not much better with the coils, although I didn't swoosh right off the edge like I was on a water slide. Spent some time rolling around on the LuxeAdapt Hybrid. It, too, felt very similar to the regular Proadapt in terms of sinkage despite the coils, plus had the same not-so-cooling cover as the ProAdapt plus, again, edge support didn't seem much improved--plus it is fully $1200 more for a King on an already VERY expensive mattress. Finally settled on the ProBreeze. It solved the sleeping hot problem: feels deliciously cool when you first get in then somehow, because of the spaces designed in the foam, manages to adjust to your body heat. It is easier to turn over from side to side (you don't have to hoist yourself up from the sinkage as on the ProAdapt), the edge support is superior to either the Proadapt or LuxeAdapt, PLUS, best of all: because the ProBreeze cooling cover is a little stiffer, it doesn't sink quite as much, but rather much more gently conforms. Keep in mind this is how it feels FOR ME. I'm 130 pounds. If you weigh 200-ish plus, you probably need a firm. If you weigh under 100, like my son's petite girlfriend, you probably need a soft. (At 170 pounds, he is ecstatic with his Proadapt Medium.). But for this little bear, agonizing in Mattress Indecision Insanity, the ProBreeze turned out to be just right.

My experience: like most people I went shopping for a new mattress. And like many people I tend to sleep hot. So when I discovered Tempur-pedic made a mattress specifically to help those who sleep hot I was all over it and made the purchase. 5 years later and only halfway through the warranty the mattress began to trap heat and radiate back at my body which seems to be a common problem with memory foam mattresses. After contacting Tempur and advising them that their product was no longer acting as advertised they simply denied my request stating warranties do not cover sleeper preferences. So beware of the downfalls before investing in their bed for this can cause overheating which leads to other potential medical issues such as reduced sperm count for men and possible loss of pregnancies for women. I hope this review is informative and beneficial to others. I will not invest in another Tempur bed.

This is one of the most comfortable mattresses I have ever slept on. Had my old spring mattress for 27 years before moving to this one and within a week I was sleeping through the night instead of waking up in the middle of the night with shoulder or back pain. Also living in a very warm weather state, so nice to have a cool bed to climb into and sink into the mattress as I get comfortable for a very restful sleep. We tried another brand adjustable mattress and returned it within a couple of months because we could never get it comfortable despite all the adjustments we tried to make. This mattress truly met our expectations and the online experience in ordering it to the delivery of it to our home was so easy.

We like the bed a lot but my spouse thought it was a little too firm so we put back on a topper that we were using with our old bed. The good new is his hip pain is gone -- the bad news it, the cooling attributes that caused me to spend the money for this mattress are muted by the topper.

I had been having the worst time trying to get a good night rest. I toss and turn and wake up literally every hour through the night. I'm hitting an age where sleep has become a priority but also hard to come by and I have been trying all types of remedies. I was unsure at first that my bed would make such an impact, but I'm so happy to report that my sleep has finally improved thanks to this mattress. It offers support to my body, that I didn't think I needed and hugs my body and keeps it cool through the night, minimizing the amount of times my body wants to move and wake and I think it'll only get better from here.

I have my original Tempur Pedic for 21 years and my husband and I loved it! I could have used it for the next 10 years until my grandkids start sleeping between us. I did not even noticed that old Tempur Pedic has sagged on my side. Our new Tempur Pedic has just the right firmness and is not subject to the summer heat of Southern California.

My husband and I had been sleeping on an 8 year old "inexpensive" memory foam mattress. Both of us had been having assorted difficulty sleeping - a GOOD night was 5-1/2 to 6 hours. Within the first few days we started sleeping at lease 7 hours a night. It was miraculous!

It's very comfortable when you first lay down, but after a whole night, I wake up with some soreness, especially in my hips. MW has a terrible policy of no returns and one-time exchanges of only equal or greater value, so it makes no sense to buy a mattress like this and definitely not from MW.

I wake up everyday with body aches. My old mattress was great but it was time for a new one. This one makes my body hurt every morning. I thought there may be a break in period but it still feels the same. Also as far as cooling. I can't tell the difference. It just feels like a normal temperature mattress.
