How To File a Claim for Accidental Damages

You must follow all the procedures stated below to be eligible for service under your Guardsman Plan. Your failure to comply may disqualify your claim.

BEFORE FILING YOUR CLAIM:

  • Claims MUST be filed within 30 days of accident or will be denied
  • Know the PLAN NUMBER or PHONE NUMBER given at time of purchase
    *This information is located on your original certificate of purchase.
  • Be prepared to describe the accident in detail
  • Be prepared to provide photos of the accidental damage

*Website Instructions: Select ‘Submit a Claim’, fill out the required information and follow the steps presented.

Explain the accidental damage(s). Photos may be required. If you are filing over the phone, a representative will instruct you how the situation will be handled. They may need to submit your claim for approval which will require some time for a response. If you are filing through the website, a representative will contact you with a response within 7-10 business days.

In most cases, the Guardsman® representative will make arrangements for a third party furniture repair company to evaluate the claim. Please be diligent in scheduling your appointment to help the process move along quickly.

Promotional Credit: You are eligible to receive back 100% of the protection plan amount towards a future purchase at Tyndall Furniture & Mattress, provided no claims are made during the life of the contract. Present your original certificate at your local Tyndall Furniture & Mattress location. Original certificate is required. No photocopies or duplicates. Note: Read your entire Plan carefully to see if a stain or damage to your furniture is covered under your plan. Guardsman will determine the coverage eligibility of a stain or damage to your furniture on the basis of your plan document, the information you provide to Guardsman when you submit your claim and, in some cases, the findings of an authorized technician during a service visit they may arrange. Similarly, if an authorized technician finds the nature of the stain or damage is different from what you reported to Guardsman, your claim might not be covered under your plan.

Within thirty (30) days of the date that a stain or damage to your furniture occurred, you must report that stain or damage to Guardsman, or your claim will be denied.

To report the stain or damage to Guardsman and obtain a claim form, you may either:
(a) go to guardsman.com and follow the directions for submitting a claim; or
(b) Call toll-free 1-877-584-GOLD (4653) during normal business hours (Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Your local time, Friday 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Eastern Time) and a representative will mail or email a claim form to you. If You fail to receive a claim form by mail or email from Guardsman within ten (10) days of your request for a claim form, you must notify us of that failure.

Guardsman must receive the following within thirty (30) days of when you report the stain or damage to them: You must properly complete, sign, and mail the claim form to Guardsman along with a copy of the sales receipt showing purchase of both the Plan and the covered Furniture, a copy of your plan, and photos or other documentation that Guardsman may request to show the stain or damage for which you are making a claim. Otherwise, your claim may be denied.
