Sheila is naturally gifted with a great eye for design. She is well known in the Charlotte area for her passion and dedication to designing unique custom spaces within any budget. She works closely with each client and listens closely to their needs. She is gifted at using her eye for color and pattern with her client’s vision to develop a completely unique and functional design to fit in her client’s home. Clients that have worked with Sheila describe her as the “fairy godmother of design!"

  1. How many years of experience do you have in design consulting?
    • I have more than twenty years in the furniture business and I have loved every minute of it!
  2. What are your favorite types of design projects to work on?
    • love all types of designs. My favorite styles of design are “Modern Classic".
  3. Where do you find inspiration for home decorating?
    • My inspiration for designing comes from my clients. The way that they live, and how they want to feel in their home always inspires my decorating and design ideas.
  4. What would you describe as your strong suit as a designer?
    • My ability to listen well to each client that I work with to help them achieve their vision. I think that having a good relationship and listening closely to your client will always allow the design process to go smoothly and end up with a beautiful result.
  5. What type of things do you like to ask a client to help find their personal style?
    • The types of questions I like to ask my clients are usually. ‘What are your favorite colors? Where are your favorite vacation places? Are there any children or pets in the home? What pieces are you keeping in the room that we are working with? What is your dream for this room to look like?’
  6. What do you prioritize when you are given a budget?
    • When given a budget, I prioritize the largest piece for the room design and then flow the other items around the main piece that will be the focal point.
  7. If you had to say, what is your signature style?
    • I feel like my signature style is unique, sleek and classic… Nothing cookie-cutter.
  8. What's the best compliment that you ever received from a client?
    • The best compliment I ever received was from a happy client, with tears of joy and a great big hug, she told me told me that I should have my own design show because of the great work that I put into my designs.
  9. What is one thing that you love about the design process when working with a client?
    • The most important and the main thing that I love about each and every design process is pulling the beauty out of my client’s soul, taking their personality and incorporating it in to a space. Whenever they see the design it’s uniquely their own and so personal to them.
  10. If you had to choose just one, what is your favorite room in a home to help decorate and why?
    • If I had to choose my favorite room to design for a client, I would say it’s the bedroom. That’s where all the magic happens and dreams are created. It’s the one room in the house dedicated to pure relaxation and a good night of sleep helps you to have the best, most peaceful days.

Lynn has had a love for decorating and design dating back to her childhood years; she remembers decorating make-shift tree houses and play areas, always creating a vibrant, energetic and functional space. By using personal experience and the designing tools she learned while achieving her degree in Interior Design, Lynn is able to customize a client's home to fit their lifestyle and meet their design goals. Lynn helps clients with their decorating by using her knowledge in furnishings, accessorizing, and lighting to help create a functioning, yet elegant space. She loves sharing creativity, ideals, insights and practical wisdom in any number of ways. Lynn is dedicated to help you achieve a great design that works with your own individual lifestyle and budget.

    • I’ve been working with clients for 14 years!
  2. What are your favorite types of design projects to work on?
    • I love working on projects that require problem solving and coming up with ideas for the solutions. I also really enjoy working on personal branding design projects.
  3. Where do you find inspiration for home decorating?
    • I find inspiration from my own imagination, magazines, Pinterest, and when I’m shopping for home decor and furniture.
  4. What would you describe as your strong suit as a designer?
    • I think my strong suit is my confidence. I know that I will be able to work with a client and create a space for them that they will absolutely love. Knowing that I can is a great feeling. I really enjoy every minute of it and it’s a great feeling.
  5. What type of things do you like to ask a client to help find their personal style?
    • Typically I like to get to know my clients by asking what they have in mind. Understanding the layout of the space and the purpose and their goals for the space, style, color and family.
  6. What do you prioritize when you are given a budget?
    • I always consider what is the most important first and foremost for the client and prioritize that piece. Everything around it will be secondary once the most important piece is decided on.
  7. If you had to say, what is your signature style?
    • One of my signature accents is to incorporate a little animal print in my designs.
  8. What's the best compliment that you ever received from a client?
    • I’ve been told that clients love my style and ideas. One of my favorite compliments is that I am a good listener and help guide my clients to what they want and help the entire design come together.
  9. What is one thing that you love about the design process when working with a client?
    • I love developing relationships with my clients and earning their trust to make a house into their home.
  10. If you had to choose just one, what is your favorite room in a home to help decorate and why?
    • I personally love decorating the family room because it’s an informal, all purpose room in the house. I love that it’s a place where family and friends gather for group recreation and build memories together.
