General Furniture Care
All of our custom crafted Canadel furniture is built to last for many lifetimes. To help it maintain its best condition, here are some helpful tips for furniture care:

• Hardwood furniture likes relative humidity between 30% and 40%, keep your home at this level to help your furniture to not dry out.
• Keep furniture away from heating vents, radiators and wood-burning stoves.
• Keep furniture away from direct sunlight exposure so protect the finish.
• When moving your furniture, avoid dragging it on the floor. Instead lift it up to prevent damage to the feet and legs.
• Avoid using ammonia based glass cleaners to wipe down your furniture. It can be harmful to the finish over time.
• Use a damp cloth to wipe down furniture with glass tops, but keep glass cleaner away from the wood.
• Make it a practice to always wipe spills immediately.
• Butcher blocks should be treated with food grade mineral oil on a regular basis.
• To remove grease stains use a mixture of (50/50) water and vinegar.
