Laurel Mercantile Co., also known as LMCo. Home, in partnership with Scotsman Co. American Heirloom solid maple and solid birch furniture, is proudly made in the USA. After the launch of HGTV's Home Town, Erin and Ben Napier were approached by multiple companies overseas for furniture line development with national distribution. Growing up in North Carolina, Ben remembered the small factory towns that had been shuttered and left empty when manufacturing moved overseas. Thinking of the countless, American families who suffered in the aftermath, the Napiers knew there had to be a better way to make furniture.
Vaughan-Bassett, the largest manufacturer of wooden residential furniture in the United States, is committed to their hometown of Galax, Virginia, just like Erin and Ben Napier are committed to their hometown of Laurel, Mississippi. Together these brands partnered to create two antique-inspired furniture lines crafted by 600 American workers. LMCo. Home and Scotsman American Heirloom are now available in select furniture stores across the United States. Tyndall Furniture and Mattress is proud to be one of the only local furniture stores that carries the LMCo. Home and Scotsman Home line of furniture in the Greater Charlotte, NC area. Together, the Napiers, Vaughan-Bassett, and Tyndall Furniture & Mattress are passionate about supporting their hometowns and take American made furniture very seriously.
LMCo. Home & Scotsman Heirloom Furniture have partnered with Vaughan-Bassett to support a sustainable future. It's no secret that the local craftsman in Galax, Virginia and the surrounding Appalachian forests create a rich environment for growth and success. For every Appalachian tree that is cut down to build Scotsman American Heirloom Furniture, another tree is planted in it's place. Together, we are making a sustainable future for America's small towns, forests and companies.
